CEO of Tesla and SpaceX Elon Musk tweeted on Sunday that his first ever Boring Company tunnel would open December 10. The tunnel is expected to cover about 2 miles beginning near SpaceX's Los Angeles headquarters in Hawthorne.

Free rides?
Last May, Musk had announced that the newly completed underground test tunnel beneath suburban Los Angeles would start offering free rides to the public in a just few months. Musk had also shared a video of the construction on Instagram.
The caption read: “First Boring Company tunnel under LA almost done! Pending final regulatory approvals, we will be offering free rides to the public in a few months. Super huge thanks to everyone that helped with this project. Strong support from public, elected officials & regulators is critical to success.”
This is all moving pretty fast considering it was only last year in October that Musk unveiled his first official look at his traffic-busting project! It is especially impressive considering all this may have started out as a Twitter joke.
A single tweet
The idea for this futuristic initiative we so marvel at today began in December of 2016 with a single tweet where Musk vented about the notoriously atrocious Los Angeles traffic. He proposed a tunnel-digging machine as a potential solution which led to an influx of support from followers.
Traffic is driving me nuts. Am going to build a tunnel boring machine and just start digging...

Few, however, likely believed this would actually happen. Then, in January of 2017, the entrepreneur tweeted that he was ready to dig. In fact, the ambitious CEO said he would do so "in a month or so."
Exciting progress on the tunnel front. Plan to start digging in a month or so.

Since then the firm has also evolved into producing eco-friendly bricks and even flamethrowers. The diverse and innovative company is proof that just a little imagination and a whole lot of passion can go a long way.
In fact, last month, the Boring Company won approval by the Hawthorne City Council to build a truly novel almost surreal garage prototype that would connect passenger cars directly to the firm's underground hyperloop. The project will most certainly revolutionize transportation.

And, best of all, the incredible car elevator has already been demonstrated at the Boring Company's Hawthorne headquarters. Now, since Musk has recently announced it is time to build a giant fighting anime mecha robot, can we sincerely hope to see one soon?
I apologize, but I think you are wrong. I offer to discuss it. Write to me in PM, we will handle it.
